Personally the main media elements that I interact with are the Internet and Cinema. Media is extremely hard to avoid, there are advertisements for products/shows/films in every street, on bus stops, billboards etc. The internet is huge almost everyone uses it, and there are adverts on almost every site, which is how that site makes profit.
If you watch television, you'll see that the program you want to want is constantly on breaks to show adverts however now, because of modern technology, we can record off TV and then fast forward through adverts, or people will watch TV shows on-line whenever it suits them instead of sitting through three to four minutes of adverts every ten minutes of the viewing.
